It was a dark and gloomy morning as 14 intrepid birders drove an hour and a half

from the normal meeting place in Edgewater to visit the Lake Apopka Basin.  Piled into five cars, we all wondered if the constant drizzle was an indication of things to come.  Fortunately, the rain and drizzle ended about the same time as we arrived at the field station.
